Sure, it’s been a few years since the Backstreet Boys or ‘N Sync released a new hit, but that doesn’t mean “I Want It That Way” is any less catchy when it’s played on the radio (at the grocery store, of course). The hilarious, high-energy show, which pokes fun at Christian rock and sweet-singing boys, will make you laugh with lyrics like “Jesus called me on my cell phone” and “God put the rhythm in me.” Denver’s newest version of the play, staged by the brand-new Evolution Theatre Company, kicked off recently at Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret.
Fri-Sat, Through June 27, 8 p.m.
Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret, 1601 Arapahoe St., 303-293-0075, $25
