The Denver Nuggets lost a heartbreaker last night against the Los Angeles Lakers, 105-103, and now trail in a series for the first time throughout the playoffs. Still, there were many signs that the team is going to make Los Angeles earn the Western Conference title. Carmelo Anthony continued his playoff run, putting up 39 points and shooting four-of-five from beyond the three-point line, writes The Denver Post
The Nuggets will have a chance to tie it up Thursday night in Los Angeles for Game 2, before coming home to a double-booked Pepsi Center for Games 3 and 4. As various outlets (including Panorama) noted yesterday, a World Wrestling Entertainment event is also scheduled on Saturday at the Pepsi Center. Sporting News reports the WWE may hit the road for Colorado Springs, but that didn’t prevent WWE chairman Vince McMahon from calling out Nuggets management on their “ineptness.”
