Every room can benefit from at least one conversation-worthy accessory, and you can’t go wrong with these boiled-wool throw pillows ($145), made in Kathmandu, Nepal, and inspired by painter Mark Rothko’s feathery, floating square canvases. The pillows are part of Denver interior designer Chris Watson’s new line of home goods, unveiled last month. The aesthetic for the line—called Watson & Co. (after Watson’s longtime South Broadway furniture showroom)—tends toward the unexpected, fusing traditional, classic-modern, and international motifs. You’ll also find ceramic plates with plant-life imagery by German photographer Karl Blossfeldt, throws from India, and pedestal tables in tiled veneer—the types of things that can help a room pop without having to totally redecorate.
