Think parallel parking’s a hassle? Reverse angle parking may be your new best friend—that is, if a pilot program in Denver gets the green light. The style of parking (which is found in other cities around the country) is touted as safer for drivers and passengers because of increased visibility. It also saves space: Its implementation along East Seventh Avenue between Logan and Pennsylvania streets adds eight additional spots for a total of 20 spaces. According to Denver Public Works, the initiative will be tested “through the spring to see how well it works and determine if it should be established permanently on that stretch.” We say: Shoppers at the neighborhood’s new Trader Joe’s won’t mind a little less parking competition during their Sunday errands.
