Keep an eye on 9News starting today, and you might see entertainment reporter Kirk Montgomery showing geeky pictures of himself during his “awkward years.” During that time, he says, he was bullied, but he promises that his life eventually got better. The “It Gets Better” campaign is part of a national response to the bullying of young gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgenders, and queers.

Montgomery also makes an appearance in Denver Post theater critic John Moore’s video interviews from behind the scenes of another local “It Gets Better” shoot featuring members of the city’s theater communities and coordinated by area college student Zach Page.
