As summer turns to fall, benefit season will soon be upon us, and one of our annual favorites comes courtesy of There With Care.
The Boulder-based nonprofit is staging its dual “Red Carpet Adventures” on back-to-back nights in mid-September, on the 11th at the Boulder Theater and the 12th at Denver’s Infinity Park. Each event will feature a gourmet dinner catered by Boulder’s Big Red F, as well as entertainment from emcee Victor Levin (a writer/director from such hits as Mad Men and Mad About You); and actor Devon Murray from the Harry Potter series. There also will be musical performances from Denver singer-songwriter Zach Heckendorf and the Australian singer Grace. Between the entertainers and the heartfelt testimonies about There With Care’s work, it’s always a great night out for a tremendous cause.
For the past 10 years, There With Care has assisted families who have children facing critical illnesses by setting up a community-wide network of everyday services that help alleviate the stress these families face every day. (Co-founder Paula DuPré Pesmen was our 2014 Top of the Town winner for “best do-gooder.”) The Red Carpet events are always highly entertaining and incredibly moving examples of the kind of selflessness that makes our community better, stronger, and more responsive to people in need.
