Rōmyo: [Itameshi!] A Tokyo/Rome Culinary Playdate
It’ll take you more than a bazillion hours to travel to Tokyo, Rome, and back. Spare yourself the jet lag and head to this mashup dinner at Luca, which combines elements of Italian and Japanese cuisine. The six-course dinner will include a tuna tonnato roll with spicy tuna aioli and capers; garganelli pasta with tomato sake sauce and house-made stracciatella cheese; and Parmesan soft serve crowned with sesame brittle. March 31; seatings starting at 5 p.m.; $90 per person
“Absolute Rubbish: Extra Terrestrial”
Forget fast fashion. Trashion is trending this season—or at least that’s what Meow Wolf is flaunting on its runway. This outerspace-themed affair invites Denverites to dress up in ensembles made from recycled objects (aluminum foil! yarn! old fabrics!) and settle in for a show that highlights sustainable, astronomical designs by local artists on a catwalk. Expect beats from DJ Blaque Gurl and a killer afterparty where you can strut your own stuff. April 2; 7 p.m.; $45–$75
Rockies Opening Day

It seems like just yesterday the Broncos were battling it out for a spot in the Super Bowl, and yet baseball season is already upon us. Head to McGregor Square to watch the Rockies’ first home game on a massive 66-foot screen and enjoy a live DJ and drink specials. Or, head to the Dairy Block for Rockies purple croissants at LoDough Bakery, free popcorn from Sarah O. Jewelry, and themed cocktails from pop-up bars. April 3; times vary; free
Collaboration Fest

If you’ve ever sipped a craft beer and thought, Hmm, needs more anchovy, then this suds soiree is for you. Brewers from across the state have teamed up to make ultra-unique beers for you to sample at Collaboration Fest. Think: a stout with coconut flakes, hazelnuts, and caramel (dreamed up by WeldWerks, Full Frame, and Our Mutual Friend) and “Lord of the Links” from A Bit Twisted and Monolith, which is brewed with house-smoked sausage and jalapeños. April 4; general admission 2–6 p.m.; $45–110
Family Egg Hunt

If you’re already dreading hiding dozens of plastic Easter eggs around your house (and then forgetting where, exactly, you hid them), consider leaving the task to the pros. Each year, Four Mile Historic Park throws this seasonal fete, with hundreds of hidden eggs, plus tractor rides, appearances from the Easter Bunny himself, live performances, Victorian egg rolling, and croquet games. April 4; 8:30 a.m. & 1:30 p.m.; $18–$40
Daybreaker 1,000th Global Dance
Since 2013, Daybreaker has turned the concept of partying on its head. For one, Daybreaker’s events are held at the crack of dawn. They’re also alcohol-free, and the dancing is intertwined with wellness and mindfulness activities, like yoga. To celebrate the group’s 1,000th global dance, it’s throwing a massive bash at Red Rocks, complete with a yoga session, upbeat music, and lots of camaraderie. April 5; 11 a.m.–2 p.m.; $32–$42
