Somebody stop the rumor mill. Mike Shanahan is starting to get dizzy.

Yes, it would be the ultimate affront if the fired (but apparently not jilted) Denver Broncos coach took over in Kansas City. But Shanahan “definitely” has no intention of doing that–at least for now, according to Sports Illustrated.

The rumors began when Kansas City’s Herman Edwards got the ax on Friday. There’s not a compelling reason for Shanahan to leap at the job, however. He’s getting paid millions by Broncos owner Pat Bowlen “not to coach,” his daughter is getting married this summer, and he would need time to assemble a decent staff.
