In search of a last-minute appetizer, I picked up a jar of Pineapple Addiction at EVOO Marketplace, a specialty olive oil and balsamic vinegar emporium downtown.

The locally made chutney—a combination of fruity pineapple, sugar, and red and green jalapeños—is zesty enough to offer a kick but sweet enough to temper the flames. I served it over a hunk of softened cream cheese with whole grain 34° Crispbreads to great effect.

If you have leftovers (I only had a smidgen), the golden-hued chutney would also pair beautifully with grilled shrimp or pork.
